Overview

Your Asaph profile helps personalize the platform for you and organize your team. When you first log in, Asaph guides you through three quick setup steps: About You, How You Serve, and Your Church.

Profile Setup Steps

Step 1: About You

What You'll Add:

  • Your name (first and last)

  • Gender

  • Birth year

  • Avatar color

Why This Matters: This helps personalize Asaph for you. Your name and avatar appear when you interact with team members, making collaboration more personal.

Time: 20 seconds

Step 2: How You Serve

What You'll Add:

  • Your role (worship leader, pastor, team member, etc.)

  • Your skills (vocals, instruments, production, etc.)

Why This Matters: This helps organize your team. When you add team members later, everyone can see who does what. It makes coordination easier.

Time: 20 seconds

Step 3: Your Church

What You'll Add:

  • Church name

  • Country

  • City

  • Denomination

Why This Matters: This helps localize Asaph for your church. You'll discover songs that work for churches like yours—filtered by location, denomination, and context. Your church details help Asaph show you relevant insights.

Your name, avatar color, role, and skills are visible to your team for coordination purposes.

Avatar Colors

Choosing Your Color

Select a color that represents you. Your avatar displays your initials on a colored circle.

Why Colors Matter

Colors help team members quickly identify who's who in Messages, set lists, and feedback. Pick something that stands out.

Changing Your Color

You can change your avatar color anytime in profile settings.

Role Selection

Available Roles

  1. Team Member - Participates in services and provides feedback

  2. Worship Leader - Plans services and leads teams

  3. Worship Pastor - Oversees worship ministry

  4. Assistant Pastor - Provides pastoral input and support

  5. Lead Pastor - Senior church leadership

  6. Other - Select if your role doesn't fit the above options

Why Roles Matter

Roles help organize your team and show everyone how you serve. Your role is separate from your permissions (admin or member). Roles are descriptive, permissions control what you can do in Asaph.

Skills and Specialties

Adding Your Skills

Select from:

  • Vocals

  • Acoustic

  • Keys

  • Electric

  • Drums

  • Bass

  • Strings

  • Wind/Brass

  • Production

Multiple Skills

Select as many as apply. You can also leave this blank if none apply to your role.

Why Skills Help

When you build a team, skills help you:

  • See who can cover what role

  • Identify gaps in your team

  • Organize rehearsals and schedules

Church Information

Denomination Options

Select from a wide range of denominations or choose "Non-denominational" or "Other."

Why Denomination Matters

Asaph uses this to show you songs that work well in your tradition. A Presbyterian church and a Pentecostal church often use different songs—your denomination helps surface what's relevant.

City and Country

Your location helps you discover:

  • Songs popular in your area

  • What nearby churches are using

  • Regional worship trends

Profile Completion Benefits

Personalized Experience

A complete profile helps Asaph:

  • Show relevant song recommendations

  • Connect you with similar churches

  • Organize your team effectively

  • Provide better insights

Team Coordination

When everyone completes their profile:

  • You know who serves in what capacity

  • Skills are visible for planning

  • Communication feels more personal

  • Team culture strengthens
