This checklist helps you set up Asaph thoroughly. Work through each item at your own pace. Most people complete everything in 15-20 minutes.
Profile Setup (1 minute)
✓ Complete Your Profile
Add your name
Select gender
Enter birth year
Choose avatar color
Set your role (worship leader, pastor, member)
Add your skills
Enter church name, country, city, denomination
Why: A complete profile personalizes Asaph and helps organize your team.
How: Follow the profile setup wizard on first login, or go to Settings > Profile.
Song Library (3-5 minutes)
✓ Add 10+ Songs
Add at least 10 songs to your library (minimum recommendation)
Aim for 20-30 songs for better AI results
Options:
Add from Asaph's song library
Import from Planning Center Services
Add custom songs manually
Why: The AI needs songs to generate set lists. More songs = better variety and rotation.
How: Click Add Songs from Getting Started section, or go to Songs > Add from Library.

Go to Songs in navigation
Click the Pie Chart Icon
Review your library's emotional, energy, theological, and thematic breakdown
Why: See patterns in your song selection and identify gaps or biases.
How: Songs > Pie Chart Icon (Song Analysis)
Set List Planning (2-3 minutes)
✓ Create Your First Set List
Click Create Set List from Getting Started section
Try AI generation with a Bible passage or keywords
Preview set list analysis
Save your set list
Why: Experience how AI planning works and see the weekly cycle in action.
How: Home > Create Set List, then choose Generate with AI or Select Songs manually.
Feedback (1-2 minutes)

Open your saved set list
Click Give Feedback
Provide honest responses
Submit feedback
View feedback results
Why: Start building insights specific to your church. Anonymous feedback shows what's working.
How: Open any set list > Give Feedback button.
Team Setup (Optional, 2-5 minutes)
✓ Invite Your Team
Go to Settings > Team
Choose your invite method:
Email invite - For co-leaders or when setting admin permissions
Copy invite link - Share in group chats for multiple members at once
Invite at least one co-leader or pastor
Share invite link with team members who'll provide feedback
Set admin permissions where appropriate
Why: Asaph works best with your whole team involved. Collaboration and feedback strengthen your planning.
How: Settings > Team > Invite Team Member (email) or Copy Invite Link (multiple people).
Training & Learning (5-10 minutes)

Browse Asaph Reels
Watch at least one 60 second training clip
Note insights relevant to your context
Why: Learn from experienced worship leaders quickly. Build your knowledge base.
