Overview

Asaph uses passwordless authentication with one-time codes. Enter your email, enter the code we send you, and you're in. No password creation, no password manager needed.

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Go to Asaph

Visit app.asaph.io in your web browser.

Step 2: Enter Your Email

Type your email address in the signup form. Make sure it's an email you can access right away.

Step 3: Check Your Inbox

We'll send you a one-time code via email immediately. The subject line will say something like "Your Asaph Login Code."

Step 5: Enter Your Code

Copy the code from the email and enter it in Asaph. You're logged in automatically.

The code expires after 15 minutes for security. If it expires, just request a new one.

Step 6: Complete Your Profile

Once logged in, Asaph guides you through completing your profile:

  • About You - Name, gender, birth year, avatar color

  • How You Serve - Role (team member, worship leader, worship pastor, assistant pastor, lead pastor, or other) and skills

  • Your Church - Church name, country, city, denomination

Understanding Passwordless Login

What Are One-Time Codes?

One-time codes are temporary numeric codes sent to your email. They work like a temporary password that expires quickly.

Why No Password?

Passwords are easy to forget and difficult to manage securely. One-time codes eliminate this problem while keeping your account secure.

Security Benefits

  • No password to steal or guess

  • Codes expire after 15 minutes

  • New code required for each login

  • Email account acts as authentication

First Login Experience

After clicking your magic link the first time, you'll:

  1. Land on your Asaph home page

  2. See the profile completion wizard

  3. Complete your About You information

  4. Add How You Serve details

  5. Enter Your Church information

  6. Access your Getting Started checklist

This takes about 1 minute.

Logging In Again Later

Every Time You Log In

  1. Enter your email address

  2. Click Send Code

  3. Check your email

  4. Enter the code in Asaph

You'll get a fresh code each time. This keeps your account secure.

Using Multiple Devices

Desktop and Mobile

Use the same email address on all your devices. When you request a magic link on your phone, tablet, or computer, you'll get logged in on that device.

Mobile Apps

Download the iOS or Android app. Login works the same way—enter your email and the one-time code.

Staying Logged In

Once logged in on a device, you'll stay logged in until you log out or clear your browser data. You don't need to request a new code every time you open Asaph.

Common Questions

What if I don't receive the one-time code?

Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from Asaph and should arrive within seconds. If you still don't see it, request a new code.

Can I use a work email?

Yes, any email address works. Some organizations block external emails—if that's the case, use a personal email instead.

What if the code expired?

Just go back to app.asaph.io and request a new code. You can request as many as needed.

Can someone else access my account if they have my email?

No. They would need access to your email inbox to get the one-time code. Keep your email account secure with a strong password and two-factor authentication.

Do I need a different account for mobile?

No. Use the same email on mobile and desktop. Your account syncs automatically across all devices.
